About Me
Hello! Welcome to my blog! Let's start with the name of the blog which is also the name of my photography business. Small Boat. Awhile back I heard the song, "Fight Song", by Rachel Platten. The lyrics of the song caught my attention right away. The first verse says:
Like a small boat
On the ocean
Sending big waves
Into motion
So... Small Boat was born. I debated back and forth. I like the lyrics of the song, but the song itself isn't my most fav. (Sorry, Rachel.) But the lyrics kept speaking to me every time I heard the song on Pandora. This was how I felt! I didn't go to school for photography, interior design, small business, art, graphic design or web design. It's just me and any talent I have I can say is truly a gift from God. (I used make cards when I was 10 and sell them to my neighbors for $0.25! So I have loved crafts and had a spirit of enterpreneurship since I was quite young! Haha :) So here I go, in a small boat, seeing where this will lead me.
I have lots of ideas to share with you. I love scrapbooking, photography, DIY projects, organizing, being a stay at home mom, and experiencing life. I have always found so much inspiration from others through Pinterest and blogs, and lately Instagram. I appreciate when others share their wisdom, experience, ideas, and finds! So hopefully I will be able to do the same for others!
